Free knitting pattern!

Another cool quickie project - once I'm finished knitting my first baby blanket for PJs I'm going to knit up one of these chenille throw pillows for our bed. It looks so warm and cozy... It's from the same Knitting to Go deck.

I feel the urge to update our bed linens - I'd like a new comforter, accent pillows and toss quilt - I'm thinking totally cream. Not sure if I have time to make them all, but chances of finding something unique and exactly what I have in mind are slim (especially at my ideal price point!). I want our bed to be fairly neutral because PJs crib will be in our room and too much colour on everything might be overwhelming! Also, I think cream would brighten up the room - I'm over all the dark brown in our bedroom. And finally, a chance to recycle our ill-closing IKEA comforter into something more useful!

The pattern is also available as a freebie online - check it out!

Your new project sound like fun. I think the lighter colour in the bedroom will look nice and will give a feeling of more space@;)

I think we'll need all the space we can get - even just the "illusion" of more space will do! :-)

I was reading about a NY couple who had a baby and live in a 250sf studio in Manhattan - they basically had a kitchen and a bedroom. From an improvisation standpoint that's pretty amazing, but I think I would go crazy in a quick minute - that's practically the size of a bathroom at the bus station!!

I knew there was something wrong when the comforter didn't come with an alan wrench!

And it wasn't in a flat box with "some assembly required". Dowels or something might hold it together better! Or glue. Or fury.
