We went to see the doctor yesterday for our regular monthly appointment and she said that all is looking good. PJs heartbeat is 140 beats per minute (normal for a baby at this stage).
PJs is getting bigger every day - as evidenced by my growing bump! Bump photos coming soon - too lazy at the moment... Perhaps lazy is not the right word, but I'm too lazy to find a better one! Too exhausted from moving chores... Now that we know the sex of the baby, I can't wait until we get settled into our new place so I can start on some fun sewing and art projects that I've had in mind.
What PJs is up to this week:
The baby now weighs almost one pound /430 grams, measures nearly 11 inches / just over 27 centimetres long from crown to heel, and is proportioned like a newborn, albeit a thinner version since his baby fat hasn't yet developed. Although he's getting heavier every day, his skin still appears wrinkled because he needs to gain more weight. The lips are distinct and the eyes are formed, though the iris (the coloured part of the eye) still lacks pigment. The pancreas, essential in the production of hormones, is developing steadily.
Even this early, the first signs of teeth appear in the form of tooth buds beneath the gum line. Before you know it, your baby will be born, and soon after, her first teeth will come through.

Looking forward to helping you move on Thursday. Hopefully we can give you and baby a bit of a rest@:)
Wish I were there to help :( Certainly glad we were all packed up before I left!
Thanks Bonnie - I'm looking forward to having you guys keep me company! Jamie you did a terrific job taking care of everything and I wouldn't be sitting here in my box house, relaxing and watching Murder She Wrote in relative comfort if it wasn't for you! I can't wait until you come home on Thursday to see our new place!!!!
