Jamie helped me to draw out a similar giraffe and I used more of the blue dots fabric (four metres went a long way!) and another coordinating fabric that I happened to have on hand. And lots of fibre-fill stuffing. The Dwell version is a little boxier - I bet they use foam inside rather than stuffing. The back leg has a bit of a wonk, but I think it turned out pretty well!

Hand made stuffed giraffe
I love the line of stuffed toys (and pretty much everything) by Dwell, but due to a combination of sometimes-thriftyness and the fact that I like to sew, I am always pondering whether to buy their stuff or just try to copy it...

Love that giraffe...it's so cute. PJ's is lucky to have two talented artists as parents. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your time at home...it's such a wonderful time for you.
Your giraffe looks really cute! Can't use that word too much when it comes to baby stuff! The blues go well with your yellow walls, what colour are your curtains?
Its nice you have some time to spend at home doing things that you wouldn't be able to do except at the end of a workday or the weekend. Enjoy yourself preparing your nest, while waiting for the baby, and put your feet up too!
Okay, so when is this sweat shop going to be up and running?! Forget nesting . . .i need to shop! :-)
You are so crazy talented . . .I LOVE this giraffe. Your choice of fabrics are fabulous too . . . you are definitely on to something BIG!
