Things to do at 5 AM

We have a serious lack of clocks in our house (and a few watches with no batteries), so when Cole is breastfeeding, especially in the middle of the night, I tend to watch a lot of the Weather Network on mute. It's boring, yes, but the time is on the screen the whole time, so I can gauge how long he's been eating.

A few days ago, in our delirium, Jamie and I were sitting there at 5 am critiquing the outfits of the meteorologists... We decided that since we were writing down notes on the breastfeeding & bathroom habits of little Cole, we may as well have some fun and start charting the fashion choices of the night & morning crew on the channel. It's been really hilarious - we have little nicknames for the different people, and it's starting to look like have a surplus of old blazers under the stairs in the studio that they share... One lady seems to favour outfits suitable for an Eastern European prison warden... Yes, I think we have officially started to lose our minds. ;-)

The things people don't tell you about being a new parent; like postpartum delirium! :D You guys are awesome; two of a kind for sure!

Glad to hear that you two still have your wacky sense of humour@;) By the way,Kim & Sean had a baby girl early this morning and everyone is doing well! They will be heading home tomorrow at 11:00 am. Seems like they give no time to rest these days! Ahhhh for the good old days...I remember them well:)

I have disturbingly found myself watching shows about plane crashes as I nurse at night. I hope that I am not contributing to some long-term fear of flying that Abby may develop. Perhaps I should try the weather channel tonight.

Too funny Kimmy! I try to turn it to mute or minimal volume when I can catch a CSI or Cold Case Files or even some heinous CNN - that can't be good! :-)
