Oh, and on the subject of baby feeding, here is a funny video of Coley enjoying his pears. I didn't think my still photo did it justice - the faces he makes are priceless. I don't know if it's the texture or the flavour that he finds objectionable? But, he keeps eating, so I keep giving him spoonfuls of yummy, delicious pears.Wednesday, October 1
Baby food storage
I picked up a couple sets of Baby Cubes today - they are BPA- and phthalate-free and made in Brazil. They will serve me well, I hope, as I start preparing and freezing more fresh organic baby food for Cole. I love the fact that they're all little separate jars with lids. I also like the fact that they're not made in China. I have nothing against China (aside from the human rights issues, the lack of free speech and media, the polluting - but the same could really be said of America, right?), but all the scares lately do certainly act as a deterrent.

Priceless!! "Very good those ones were". Love it :) Thanks for putting up the video clip; there is nothing like seeing it in action!
So sweet...thanks for the clip. I love looking at the YouTube videos of babies doing various really "cute" things. It's a great study in Child Development@:)
Your blog just makes my day!
What beautiful Victoria pictures. Isn't it just the most wonderful place. If it wasn't for the ferry, and wasn't quite so "damp", and wasn't quite so expensive we would move there in an instant.
I loved the video, he just makes me smile..... Seems like he got used to the taste in the end, it was probably the texture that was the most different for him. But, Bonnie is right, who could not like pears. I just found a pear at the packing house that is delicious. Can't remember the name of course, but I'm going back for more. It has the lovely pear taste, but not the "grittiness" of a raw pear.
I like your new food storage containers. I am so mad at China right now, the baby milk episode was the last straw for me. I am going to try to not buy a thing that is made in China anymore. Very difficult, but do-able.
I bought Baby Cubes too and have been freezing pureed stuff from my garden (squash, zuch and rhubarb/rhubarf?) to try in a few months! I love the cubes...not sure James will like my cooking! Love the video - I'm sure I'm in for many faces just like Coles!
He'll love your cooking Lindsay! At this age, breastmilk and Mama's cooking will be all they know, so Cole must think I'm a magical chef! Or at least a weird lady who occasionally surprises his tastebuds!
did you buy them in town? i would love to get some.
