NaBloPoMo hurrah...

Unfortunately Randi is feeling under the weather today. I've sent her to bed with some dry toast and a steaming mug of apple cider vinegar and honey - and no that's not because I don't know how to cook :) The apple cider vinegar and honey is my mom's now not so secret formula for warding off colds and such. Randi hates the taste and I have to battle her every time to drink it but I know that's it's all worth while.

The last thing she said as she drifted off to sleep was "What about NaBloPoMo..." - obviously delirious at this point. Regardless, let's keep the dream alive with this wonderful post for November 26th.

Hope you feel better soon Randi. I'm sure you will with Jamie's help and a little rest.

Jamie, it's lucky that you know the secret formula@:)

I love the apple cider vinegar and honey reference! Ahhh... the smell of childhood. We really should have bought stocks for all the vinegar we have consumed over the years and will continue to consume into the future. Just think, one day little Coley will also share in the family tradition!

Poor Cole! At least by the time the traditional drink is offered to him (I would say forced, but hey!) it won't be the mixture Jamie gave me the first time years ago - half vinegar and half water!!! He had the formula a little off - it's supposed to be a spoon or two of vinegar and an equal amount of HONEY in a huge cup of hot water.

Love the 'Duff Gardens, hurrah!' reference Jamie. Good times. :-)

I am feeling much better today after a lot of sleep and some good care. Thanks for the good wishes!
