Gung Hei Fat Choy
One benefit to living downtown is the easy accessibility to parades. On Sunday we hit up the Chinese New Year parade, just a few blocks from our house. The weather was sub-optimal - grizzly grey sky and pouring rain - but Cole really enjoyed all the drumming, dragon dancing and colourful displays.
We were given some fortune cookies from the community police folks in the parade. I love fortune cookies (despite their dubious origins). Forget vague hints about good luck or new acquaintances - the police took the time to customize their cookies with these winners:
