coco and i took a rather uneventful, mostly enjoyable trip to ikea today to stock up on blorgs and flüzits for our new house. rather, i needed some (more) organizational items because i operate under the idea that those clear tubs solve all your storage dilemmas... also, i needed to not wander in the rain downtown today, to return a poorly-chosen lampshade that i bought in november and forgot about until now, and i wanted to look at the bookshelves - joy - the new "den" (aka open closet) may have room for some! maybe...
but this isn't a post to extoll the shortfalls or virtues of affordable particle-board furniture, although i did score a new coffee table for $15 in the as-is section. not too exciting - it replaces our exactly-the-same $30 coffee table that is covered in puckered faux-wood mishaps and babyproofing corner glue... mainly this post, rambling and uneventful though it is, not unlike a trip through ikea, is simply a good excuse to share this:
we ate meatballs for lunch. i love those ikea meatballs. mmmm...
