yesterday morning, on the way to the grocery store, coco and i made a random stop at queen's park and - wowie - the park had turned into victoria day apalooza! one of those traveling carnivals had sprung up with the usual suspects - the spinny rides, the cotton candy, the lemonade (and possibly some actual suspects). and our already great playground had blossomed - the petting zoo had opened for the season and the hoses were blasting away at the water park.
we had a great time checking out the goats and chickens, did some artwork and played in the water (brrr) and even stopped for some rock-guitar powered excitement. we measured up and then he ran from ride to ride asking if he was tall enough for them.
he was a few inches shy of the 36" mark so we stuck to the baby-go-round, which he really enjoyed. i think he has his sights on the "berris wheel" for next time.
three dollars well spent. i got a little dizzy sitting on the ride with him but nothing a little lemonade and popcorn couldn''t fix.

Awesome! Love that hat too! Won't it look so cute with those stripey pants (once he grows into them)?!?!
Looks like Cole had a blast!!! I'm guessing the carny fun has moved on, but we'll have to come out for some petting zoo time soon! And you and Cole will have to come out this way one (warm) afternoon, as our pool has just opened up from 1-9pm everyday!
