coco helped me to plant some seeds yesterday, albiet a tad (more than a tad!) late in the season! we soaked some jiffy pellets and planted cucumber seeds, peas and cosmos - all things that i think will sprout easily and reliably for preschooler-pleasing effect. cole placed all of the name flags and planted all of the peas by himself! the tray is sitting by our window now, bathing in indirect light during the day and waiting for the first signs of life to appear.

What a nice thing to do with him...he will be checking those every time he passes the window! Those little flags give them a festive look while your're waiting to see which seeds sprout first!Hope Cole gets your green thumb for plants!
There is a variety I planted in our garden this year, called "Easter Egg Mix". They are different colors of pink & white, and you can eat them in 30 days!They sprout quick & are fast growing and finished soon, which would make room for other slower plants in the same pot.
