we're baaaaaack!

so we had an amazing two weeks in england and are now back home. such a good time traipsing all over oxford and the south.

we landed yesterday and are getting ourselves settled back in. cole's catching up on his sleep (he must not subscribe to my theory that jet-lag doesn't exist) and i'm wading through many, many photos. here's just one to tide y'all over for a bit:

cole in the quad at the bodleian library. he missed the numerous playgrounds that we can find on every corner here in vancouver, but i tried to make up for the lack of slides and whatnot by letting him roam everywhere, from cathedrals to cloisters, from st. james park to a decrepit 13th century castle in wales...

more photos coming. 'soon' is my goal - 'eventually' may be more realistic! ;-)

Cute photos of Cole

Just a few cute photos of Cole from the last week...

Here he is practicing his walking with Daddy. Cole loves standing on his little feet and Jamie helps Cole "walk" over to me. He keeps surprising us with how strong he is!

Cole loves sitting up too, getting a good look at everything. His neck is really getting quite strong, although he still doesn't enjoy "tummy time" for the most part. He likes it more when he's partially sitting, or riding on the shoulder. Here he's practicing on the edge of the couch.

We spent some time on the balcony this weekend since it was so insanely hot out... Cole is just looking so cute here I had to post it. Love those chubby, soft baby cheeks!

We finally got a chance to put Cole next to another baby! Cole hung out on Sunday with little Aiden, our friends Mike & Mi ae's little boy who is just 3 weeks younger than Cole. I'm not sure what they talked about - milk, the technology news and maybe the price of gas? Such cute little buddies!
