san franscisco! unlike all of our vacations, i've actually made an effort to put up photos of this one! the problem always is that i take so many that it becomes a burdensome task to choose and so i don't do it. but this time - here we are, enjoying one of the few places in america that i could imagine moving to. fun at the beach, the piers, husband-suggested tours of not only a submarine but also a ww2 ship, cable car rides, trips to golden gate park, rides on carousels, the antique arcade, many miles of walking, many calories in the form of ice cream and lots and lots of fun.

fabulous collection. you sure managed to do a lot in such a short time. what a adventure for cole!!!
great photos! Looks like a fun trip.
what's up with the fuzzy photo? And I love the photo of you and cole working the crane to get candy. Such concentration!
I'm thinking the fuzzy photo was shot just after they had been to the "Haight" district! ;) Isn't San Fran beautiful, and you were lucky to have such good weather. The fog can really roll in for days. I think we must have been on the same "tour" as you, I have duplicate pictures of most of your shots! Weren't those sea lions something. You can smell them even before you hear them. I bet Cole loved seeing them.
you're right, patti! but it was entirely unintentional!
i dropped the camera on the haight & ashbury corner and the lens cracked and went sort of sideways. so, blurry photo. later i fixed the camera ("fixed") using sheer force. i also have a triumphant shot after that, but there's a crazy piercing place in the background and i look equally crazy. ;-)
Late in my post, saw this last week! Lots of great photos!! Cole is looking really energetic & sooo cute as usual...would love to give him a hug! Nice photo of him on the grassy hill across from the row of "Painted Ladies" Remember that puzzle I had?
Your trip to San Fran (looks amazing by the way) + our trip to Seattle this year = joint trip to Portland next year? I'm throwing it out there.
